Books
Some of the books I have in my PIC library are shown below.
I don't plan to list all of them at this time as it would take up more
than one page. At some time in the future when I get the time, I may add
the remaining books I have to this list just for completeness. Most of
these books I tend to use often. So one of the things I think is
important for anyone contemplating getting into using PIC's for projects
is to have a good library of material to pull from. This would include
not only third party books, but also material directly from Microchip.com.
Items such as datasheets and Appnotes are invaluable.
Also, listings of any programs you have written before for
microcontrollers. You can always reuse either a routine
in a program you have written before, or at least the methodology,
or algorithim used to write that routine.
Also, with the originators permission, you can use routines and/or
algorithims from programs that they have written. The keyword here is
"WITH THEIR PERMISSION". NEVER use someone else's work without their
permission. You wouldn't want someone to use your work without your
permission would you?
Now for the books......

This is a good communications book. Very useful. Everyone should have a
copy of this on their shelf. It has virtually every standard
communications protocol in existance included. It has bit bang routines
as well as routines for hardware peripherals. You can't afford to be
without this book. |

This is a good stepper motor book. Very useful. |
|
This is a basic language book. |

This is a good book covering the 18F452 series. Everyone wanting to work
with the 18Fxx series should obtain a copy of this book |
